In addition, Variety is also reporting that Fox has given the greenlight to 'Midland', a series about a polygamist with two wives (or one wife less than Bill Paxton has to deal with on HBO's similarly themed drama 'Big Love').

In the crowded and competitive world of television, creating a strong and recognizable brand is more important than ever. And according to reports, Fox is preparing to solidify their hold on the type of characters they are best known for: addicts, thieves, polygamists and liars.
Leading the slate of shows currently in development at Fox is 'Rehab', a comedy that follows the adventures of a man who fakes an addiction in order to pursue a relationship with an old flame who currently is in rehab. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Rehab' will be written by 'Aliens in America' and 'The Loop' writer Sam Laybourne.
Also in the works at Fox is 'Daylight Robbery', an adaptation of the British series of the same name about a group of housewives who turn to crime in order to meet their bills. In addition, Variety is also reporting that Fox has given the greenlight to 'Midland', a series about a polygamist with two wives (or one wife less than Bill Paxton has to deal with on HBO's similarly themed drama 'Big Love').
And despite sluggish ratings, Fox has also ordered three new episodes of sophomore drama 'Lie to Me' according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series, which stars Tim Roth as a human lie detector and which debuted earlier this year as a mid-season replacement in a time slot following 'American Idol', has seen its numbers drop since gaining 'House' as a lead in, which may explain the decision to limit the order to three episodes rather than the nine typically requested for a full season pickup.
