sisterwife hopeful
Hi everyone! For now you can call me Lovebug! I am 23 years old and living in Iowa. I have had no personal exposure to/experience with polygamy, but I have always felt drawn to living in a family with sisterwives. I truly believe that it takes a village to raise a child and have never wanted to raise my (future) children in a home with only 2 parents. I have been eager to find out more about the polygamous lifestyle to see if it is truly what I want for myself. I have pondered this for many years, but feel that I may be quite an unconventional candidate for plural marriage.
For one, I was not raised in a household where my father was the patriarch. My parents had a fully egalitarian marriage/parenting style and this is what I want for my family as well. I know that not ALL polygamous families are formed around a patriarch, but this is a non-negotiable area for me.
Also, I am not religious at all. Again, I know this isn't a requirement to be involved in polygamy, but my limited exposure has been to religious polygamy.
Anyway, I am going to take a look around the site, but if you have any advice to offer or anything to ask me, just go for it!
By the way, I do not have internet at home, so my internet use is sporadic. My apologies in advance if it takes awhile to get back to you!
