Snickerdoodle Cookies
oven 400*
1 C. shortening (part) butter or margerine
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 C. flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tblsp. sugar
2tsp, cinnamon
Mix, shortening, 1 1/2 C. sugar, and eggs. blend flour, cream of tarter. salt, soda. blend into shortening , sugar mixture.
Roll into 1 inch balls
mix the, 2 tblsp. sugar & 2 tsp. cinnamon together,
Roll roll the cookie dough balls into mixture, place 2" apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 mins. these cookies will puff up at first, then flatten out
Makes 6 Doz.
" if you use Gold Medal Selfrising Flour, omit cream of tarter, salt, & soda
