trying to learn

I am an LDS husband/father and am trying to understand plural marriage. My wife and I have been married for 19 years; we have a daughter and two wonderful sons. My wife is concerned about my study of this issue but I feel that it is something that I must do. I live in the Kansas City area and would really like to talk with people who have decided that polygyny is a correct life style. |

There are a lot of places to start. We have a section of LDS plural marriage information here - on the top of the page click on "polygamy information". The file called A Long List Of Plural Marriage quotes is, indeed, long. However, once your family has read through it there will be very little doubt left.

It is all based on the original teachings and D&C John. I think you will see that having a plural marriage has plus and minus sides.
I found that if your wife is on board, the plus far outweighs the minus. Take it slow. You both need to be methodical. Learn and pray together about it.
Good luck and feel free to ask questions. If your wife has questions, there are many plural marriage wives here to answer them.
