I find you assesment that polygamy is about a mans sexual and emotional needs to be very narrow and shallow. It is what the media tends to portray it as and with some men it is just that. But to say all poligamist are that way is about the same as to say all hispanics are criminals becasue of the few who the media tends to call attention to. To many people it is easier to acuse people of shortcomings because of you own personal belief system. Just because I believe that polygamy or more correctly polygyny (one man having more than one wife) is not biblicaly or morally wrong it does not mean I am a sick pervert looking to dominate or sexually exploit women. I beleive that all people male or female deserve love and respect and if any person marries for anything other than because they love and respect a person they are a fool. Marriage is not about sex or power, it is about shareing a life full of dreams and responsibilities as well as hardship and pain. If a man wants sex he does not need to marry a woman to get that and the same goes for a woman. Your statement that is about sex and emotional needs so then is very degrading to all who would choose to live polygyny. If i said the only reason that you want to marry someone monogomously was because you wanted sex you would be very offended and rightfully so. So why don't you try to give others the same respect you would want for yourself. If you are a christian or know any of the Lords teachings you should know the one about do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
