why polygamy?

why is plural marriage right for you? just curious

I'm New Here.....

I never thought that I would consider being ploy. I came across this by accident. I was doing a study on something else when I came across a site called Biblical polygamy. I thought that polygamy was a DOWN Right Sin,( I am a born again spirit filled Christian)until.... I read the different passages of the Old Testament where this was pretty much the norm. Do I think polygamy is right for me? I'm still answering that question. But... I just shared with my wife that I feel that I have some much more Love to share with another wife which she agreed. I guess for me... I just want to make sure that my relationship with God and my wife stay intact.

Any suggestions?

Go back and look at the story of the ten virgins, then look up facts about Hebrew culture at the time.

I think the answer is different for each family. Some just see it as a more stable, better way of life, while others have deeply held religious beliefs supporting plural marriage.

I agree with sitemod...there are multiple benefits. As a Christian I can tell you that in a plural marriage bith the man and his wives have to lay down the last bits of self to make it work. It gives a whole new meaning to esteeeming others higher than yourself.
