Hi from Canada

Hi everyone! My name is Chloe, and I am interested in Christian polygamy. I found this site through Mary from Principle voices, and can't wait to talk to others who share my feelings.
About me, I am 23, and live in Toronto, Canada. I'm a legal assistant, but I hope to go to law school in the next couple years. I love meeting new people, so say "hi"!

Hi from Canada!!!
Hi Chloe. My name is Chantal, and I am also interested in Christian polygamy. I just joined this site about an hour ago and found your intro. I am 26 and I live in Ontario as well. I am with a wonderful man and am trying to learn more about polygamy to see if it's right for us. It's not easy to find people close to home that are interested in this.
I was raised in a Baptist family as well and never really felt that I fully fit in. I spent summers in Christian camps and Friday nights in youth groups but didn't ever feel comfortable with my surroundings. Don't get me wrong. I have strong beliefs and try to follow Christ in everything I do.
Anyway, long story short - I just wanted to say hi.
Welcome Chantal
Just a quick note to welcome you to our site. The chat room is a good place to learn and talk to others. It is usually busier in the evenings and for the most part everyone behaves.
Very cool you found us!!
LOL

Hi Chloe
I, too, am a young professional interested in polygamy. For a while now, my longtime girlfriend and I have been thinking about what our vision of a family is, and we agree that bringing another woman into our relationship on a permanent basis might fit with this vision. We'd like to find someone who is smart and educated, and who wants to be part of a large, close-knit family. While our reasons for considering polygamy are mostly non-religious, we feel that a polygamous lifestyle can be consistent with Christian morals. It sounds like you may be going through the same thought process that we are. Reading your comments prompted us to join this forum.
I'd be interested in hearing more about your views. For instance, what do you see as the ideal family environment? Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have about us. This forum seems like a great place to share views and learn about people with similar interests.
Shalom Chloe.
Shalom Chloe,
I am rather interested in some of your hobbies and interests and your religious affiliation. What do you believe? Also, what draws you into the polygamous lifestyle?
It would be nice to hear more about this from you. Nonetheless, welcome to the group. I hope you find what you need here.
Sincerely,
Derek
Hi Derek,Thank you for your
Hi Derek,
Thank you for your welcome. I've found this site to be very helpful so far :)
My hobbies include photogrpahy (the "old fashioned" way with film, not so much digital,) kayaking, camping, computers, travel, sewing, painting, volunteering, spending time with my friends, languages and learning. I try to take a class in something as often as I can. Right now I'm taking Japanese, then I hope to brush up on my French as well.
As far as religion goes... I believe in God. My parents were Anglican and Catholic, but I wasn't raised in a very religious home environment. I spent my summers at a Catholic girls camp and my school year in United and Baptist youth groups, but in all honesty I don't feel a huge draw towards any of the churches I've been to. I guess I'm trying to evaulate where I fit in.
I've been interested in polygamy for a while now... And I have my own reasons for thinking it is right for me. I think family is so important. My family used to be really close-knit, but after the death of my grandmother, things just fell apart. My grandfather was so lonely, and it broke my heart to see him on his own after fifty years of marriage. Thats one reason, I guess - its hard to be lonely with a big, loving polygamous family.
I like the amount of thought and work that people put into polygamous relationships. So many people these days treat marriage as something to do and just toss away when it becomes inconvienent. I believe marriage to be a bond for eternity, and to be bound in a chosen family with such love from different people is just... such a beautiful thought. I think children of polyamorous families must feel so loved.
So yeah... Hope that explains me a little bit!
Hi Chloe.
You sound like a pretty well-rounded person. I have many of the same types of interests you have. While there was a time I wanted to learn Japanese, I am past that phase. Instead, I prefer classical languages. I am currently learning Biblical Greek and want to eventually learn Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic. I want to brush up on my Latin also. I enjoy traveling and am currently in Sweden (will be for two more weeks, until I return -- I have already been here with my wife for two and a half months).
I also agree with many of your views on marriage. It definently is an eternal union.
As for my church involvement, I belong to New Covenant Church of God. There are links to it on the links page (my site, Set-Apart Place, is also linked there). If you want to, feel free to join our poly group.
Some of my other interests include learning of God and the Bible, reading, writing, making new friends, studying, learning, doing deliverance ministry, exploring new places and things, and a myriad of other things.
Feel free to chat with me anytime you want to also. My Yahoo ID and AIM SN is in my profile.
Sincerely,
Derek
NCCG
Derek,
I tried to check out the NCCG's web site, with a little trouble. The sites links wouldn't let me open them. Is it still up?
Thanks,
MWS
polyamorous isnt christian
polyamorous isnt christian Polygamy or to be exact not biblical Polygyny. Polyamorous includes many things like Polyandry IE a woman with many husbands or just people getting together for sex. Are you looking for a Canadian family or will you relocate to the USA? I wish to welcome you to this room and group also. We are pretty much like a family in here. We argue sometimes like family but I believe all the regulars love each other as family.

Whoops, I meant polygamous
Whoops, I meant polygamous in that statement.
I'd love to find a Canadian family, but I'd consider moving to the US as well, depending on the state.
Thanks for the welcome :)
Indiana
We are an Indiana family, and like most, it is hard to find a lady interested in polygamy, let alone serious about it. It is nice to know the word is getting out, but I still deal with the daily verbal comments from monogomous people. It gets frustrating at times and I feel like giving up on my search, but the next day comes and i get my second wind. Good luck to you on fimding what you are looking for.

Wouldn't worry about the wording...
I have seen a couple sites. With Millions of polygamy, polyamorous, and about 10-15 different types that I never new existed. But, when explaining to others. I just tell them basically we are looking for a female "partner". To join our commited relationship to grow with and, love. When it gets into understanding all the different types of Poly* families to me it gets some what confusing. Though always willing to learn about new lifestyle and, religions and how other people live of course.
We have met in the chatroom if You recall. And, Im glad to hear you feel welcome and, have been enjoying the site.
And, feel free to enjoy my bad typing and spelling for your own amusement....hahahah
