I read the April 21 issue of the "Texas Catholic" with great interest: "Search is on for fountain of youth."

That article cited the 59-year old Donald Trump having children by three wives as an Elixir of Vitality.

According to Trump: "I produce children; I stay young."

The saddest thing is the trail of broken-hearted ex-wives and children who get lost-in-the-shuffle of his power plays. Divorce takes an awful toll.

As a Catholic, I would much rather prefer a return to honest Biblical-style polygamy (called polygny) where a husband had several wives. Abraham, Jacob, David, and King Solomon all practiced plural marriage.

If all the parties were adults as well as open & honest with each other; and if no incest, abuse or welfare fraud took place ---- I think that this should be legalized for those few persons who are financially and emotionally responsible.

Other people who wished to have a monogamous marriage could be totally monogamous. And single people who wished to be single could remain single. Plural marriage (polygny) would remedy some of the ills caused by men like Mr. Trump.

Well, perhaps...

Perhaps if it were decriminalized, Mr. Trump would not have this sort of track record.

Children are collateral damage in a monogamous society where morals are bass ackwards.

I absolutely agree with you.

I absolutely agree with you. With men like Trump, I think he's more on an ego trip that's underscored by his money and a belief that he's king of his domain; he does whatever he wants and there's no limits or consequences(except lawyer fees, alimony and child support costs).

These costs, which can be very expensive to an average man are just incidental to his lifestyle and ego.
