Here are a couple of news articles out of Idaho regarding the suspension and then resignation of the Horseshoe Bend School District Superintendent. Apparently he got together with a second "wife" who wrote a letter to her sister basically saying how great her life was. The sister then took the letter to their father who immediately went to the Horseshoe Bend School Board and demanded the resignation of the superintendent.

A jealous wife told police her husband's mistress was about to bomb a flight from Heathrow Airport and had helped plot the 7/7 attacks.
Salma Nasir, 42, told the lies to get back at a woman known as Camille, who she claimed was about to walk onto a flight with explosives.
Nasir, whose husband took a 'second wife', which is permitted under Islamic law, maliciously called police after she had found flight tickets to France for her husband and Camille.
The mother-of-four claimed she had received a string of anonymous phone calls warning her about the woman and alleging her involvement in a bomb plot on Heathrow.
Jim Davis, prosecuting, said: 'This is in effect a lady trying to make trouble. This was a hoax.
'Her motive would be that her husband has taken a second wife.'

Ageing Macau gambling billionaire Stanley Ho has given up almost all his share in the casino empire he built up over five decades.

The move follows a bitter family feud over who would inherit his business.

Mr Ho, who is estimated to have a personal fortune of $2bn, has 16 children from four wives, many of whom have key roles in his business.

But with Mr Ho now at 89 years of age and in fragile health, the succession issue has been worrying investors.
To solve the inheritance problem, Mr Ho has divided his $1.6bn controlling stake in Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau (STDM) among his relatives.

He has kept a tiny fraction for himself, according to a statement released late on Thursday.

The Fox show "Bones" covered polygamy tonight. As Bones and Booth sat in the car laughing about the dead polygamist guy, it is pretty clear, gee, polygamists are not worth much.

At least it was not one of the three wives that did the plig in, but alas, the father-in-law decided to end his life.

Gads.

There was one scene where Bones tries to explain to Booth that yup, polygamy is in both the Old and NEW Testament. Booth did not take to that too awful well. And in the end, Booth was right,according to Bones, you can love only one the most. Add to that, the wives were just pretending to be happy, because, apparently, no one can be happy as a sisterwife. Done.

At 35, he married his 45th wife and his peers named him “Danger” because of his magic with women and love for polygamy.

Arguably one of the world’s best-known polygamists, Akuku, is said to have married 130 times, had divorced more than 80 of his wives and sired more than 200 children.

His death at dawn on Sunday brought down the curtain on one of the most industrious men of Africa and a global case study in the troubled institution of marriage.

He was 92.

According to major news sources the last few days HBO will wrap up "Big Love" after this, the 5th season. Writers feel they have come to the end of the journey they had in mind for the Henrickson Family.

At the same time, TLC has renewed the Kody Brown family for a second season of Sister Wives. Season 2 will have ten episodes, and a additional special featuring Kody and Robins honeymoon that will air this November.

The fifth season of Big Love will premier on January 16th, 2011. Big Love stars Bill Paxton as the Henrickson patriarch who is married to three wives – Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, and Ginnifer Goodwin.

It has been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmy Awards last year. Sevigny won Best Supporting Actress for her role as the second wife in 2009
